In the United States, we celebrate Mother’s Day every second Sunday of May. This is the result of a Proclamation signed by President Woodrow Wilson in 1914. Mother’s Day celebration became a reality through the efforts of Anna Jarvis who wished a day be set to honor the mothers, motherhood and maternal bonds as well as the influence of mothers in our society.
This is now a global celebration. In northern hemisphere Mother’s Day is celebrated in April-May; in Argentina in October and in Australia in May. (Wikipedia)
So, let us celebrate Mother’s Day and let us not forget the greatest mother of all, our Mother Earth. Through this website, Earthniversity, together with all our friends and followers will continue with this advocacy of conserving and protecting the resources of Mother Earth.
Again, Happy Mother’s Day to every Mother in the world.
