Earth Hour 2015: Are You Using Your Power?

March 28, 2015 will mark this year’s Earth Hour beginning 8:30 p.m. up to 9:30 p.m.  For one full hour, every citizen of the world, from government offices, business, local communities and every home are encouraged to conserve energy.  By doing this energy conservation strategy, a big amount of earth’s resources is saved for the use of future generation.  But more than this, Earth Hour gives every citizen of Mother Earth a time to ponder upon the effects of human activities on the limited resources of the Earth and how human activities influence the changing climate globally.  This hour is the right moment to reflect on how we can do our noble share in protecting and conserving our only home – Earth.

Earthniversity hopes that this energy conservation hour and a moment of reflection on how to protect and conserve the resources of Mother Earth as well as the role of humans in combatting the ill effects of climate change, will become a habit of every citizen of the world.  Have a meaningful Earth Hour, everyone.

Earth Hour Celebrated in the City of Smiles

In March of 2014, the City of Bacolod, Philippines, joined the rest of the world in the global celebration of the Earth Hour.  That celebration was highlighted in a ceremony held at the SM Mega Mall.

This March 28, will again, mark that observation world-wide from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.,  and we hope that citizens of different countries around the world, their cities, offices, and communities will observe this Earth Hour and once again be reminded to conserve and protect the limited resources of the Earth.

Images below show the 2014 celebration in my hometown, Bacolod City, the capital of the province of Negros Occidental, Philippines.  Negros is an island that is considered as one of the richest island-provinces in the country.

Have a meaningful Earth Hour celebration everyone.
